Share your store URL and Merchant Center status. We will start with your feed, campaign structure and ROAS.
Shopping ads are built from your product data, not keywords. When the feed is thin or the structure is lazy, Google spends your budget on the wrong products.
Titles, descriptions, images and attributes decide which searches your products match. Google allows product titles up to 150 characters but shoppers often see only the first 70 or so, so the most important details belong first (Merchant Center Help).
A best seller with healthy margin and a clearance item with thin margin should not compete for the same budget. We segment by margin, price, performance and season with custom labels.
When several campaigns can serve the same impression, Google serves the one with the highest Ad Rank (Google Ads Help). Without a plan, Standard Shopping and Performance Max cannibalize each other and the reporting gets murky.
Products quietly drop out when policies, prices or availability do not match your site. Merchant Center now surfaces these on its Needs attention tab (Merchant Center Help). We check it weekly.
One dedicated PPC manager owns your feed and campaigns on Google, Microsoft and Meta, so product data and bidding stay in sync.
Merchant Center is free and can show your products across Google Search, Maps and YouTube, including free listings (Merchant Center Help). We optimize titles, descriptions, GTINs, product types, images and custom labels, using supplemental data sources where your platform cannot.
Performance Max reaches YouTube, Display, Search, Discover, Gmail and Maps from one campaign (Google Ads Help). We group products by margin and role into asset groups and Standard Shopping campaigns, with product filters matched to landing pages.
Target ROAS and conversion value bidding, with budgets weighted toward high-margin, high-converting products and categories.
Product ads that follow shoppers who viewed items, powered by the same feed. See PPC remarketing.
Your feed powers Microsoft Shopping and Meta catalog ads too. Microsoft Shopping supports LinkedIn profile targeting (Microsoft Learn), and Microsoft Merchant Center added supplemental feed support in 2026 (Microsoft Advertising). See Bing Ads management and Facebook advertising.

Google’s Shopping stack has changed more in two years than in the previous ten. Here is what matters for your account.
Google finished moving all merchants to Merchant Center Next by October 1, 2024. Feeds are now called data sources, diagnostics became the Needs attention tab, and Product Studio offers free AI image tools in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan and India (Merchant Center Help).
Announced April 30, 2026, AI Max for Shopping uses your feed to write ad text for conversational queries, matches shoppers to the best landing page with Final URL Expansion, and chooses between text and Shopping formats. Existing Shopping campaigns can upgrade in one click and keep product targeting and bidding controls, and Final URL Expansion can be switched off (Google).
Performance Max already uses Final URL Expansion and format selection for retail, and text customization for Shopping ads is being added (Google). We decide product by product whether Standard Shopping, Performance Max or AI Max earns the budget.
AI Max reads attributes like material, fit and durability to understand products. Richer, accurate attributes now drive both matching and the ad text Google writes, so feed work pays off twice.

Often both. Performance Max finds new demand across Google channels, while Standard Shopping gives tighter control for testing and protecting key products.
Test it. We run an experiment on a product set, keep bidding and targeting controls in place and compare ROAS before rolling it out.
Custom labels for margin and price let us set separate ROAS targets, or exclude products that cannot win profitably.
Brand, product type and key attributes such as size, color or material in the first 70 characters, using the full 150 where it adds search matches.
Yes. The image is the first thing shoppers compare. We fix disapproved images and test lifestyle variants with Product Studio where available.
It is the core. The same feed can power Microsoft Shopping and Meta catalog ads, which often add profitable sales at lower cost.

Google Shopping management is the ongoing work of optimizing your Merchant Center product data and running Shopping, Performance Max and AI Max for Shopping campaigns in Google Ads, with bids and budgets set by product margin and ROAS.
Merchant Center Next is Google’s current Merchant Center. All merchants were migrated by October 1, 2024. It renamed feeds to data sources, replaced diagnostics with the Needs attention tab and added Product Studio, free AI image tools in six countries including the US.
AI Max for Shopping, announced by Google on April 30, 2026, upgrades Shopping campaigns in one click. It writes ad text for conversational queries from your feed, uses Final URL Expansion to pick landing pages and chooses between text and Shopping ad formats.
No. Google says advertisers keep their product targeting controls and bidding flexibility after upgrading, and Final URL Expansion can be turned off at any time to keep delivery to Shopping ads.
Often both, with a clear split. When campaigns in one account can serve the same impression, Google serves the campaign with the highest Ad Rank, so we assign products deliberately to avoid overlap and keep reporting clean.
Performance Max can reach all Google Ads inventory from one campaign, including YouTube, Display, Search, Discover, Gmail and Maps. Product filters in each asset group control which items appear.
Google allows titles of 1 to 150 characters. Shoppers often see only the first 70 or so, so we put brand, product type and key attributes first and use the remaining space for details that match more searches.
Yes. Merchant Center is a free Google tool, and approved products can appear in free listings across Google Search, Maps and YouTube. Shopping ads, Performance Max and AI Max are paid placements in Google Ads.
