New Twitter Branded Pages Coming Soon at HIGH Price Point

Twitter Branded Pages will be coming out to the masses on March 1, 2012 (right now only a select few have them). But how much will Twitter Branded Pages cost?

I just got off the phone with a Twitter representative. One of the items we discussed was Twitter Branded Pages. Being heavily involved in social media marketing, I would like to be able to offer all our clients the benefits of a branded page. However, I was actually pretty shocked to hear that in order to have a Twitter Branded Page you need to be spending at least $10,000 a month on Twitter advertising. Now, for a large national brand this is a price point that might work. But for a smaller client, it is very tough to justify spending that much money on Twitter. In fact, it just doesn’t make sense.

One of the big selling points was the ability to have a sticky tweet at the top of your page. This Tweet allows you to promote the latest marketing message to your followers.

Twitter Branded Pages

So that is it, sorry small business. But if you are not willing to spend $10,000 a month on Twitter, no branded page for you.
