LinkedIn Introduces new Share Button

We have all been waiting for this. Ladies and gents, LinkedIn has finally introduced their own share button. And it’s about time. Give the share button a try:

The button closely resembles the share buttons created by Twitter and Facebook early this year. You can get your own LinkedIn share button here.linkedin share button

This new share button is long overdue. Sharing content on LinkedIn is perhaps one of the best ways to get traffic to your website. What is great about LinkedIn traffic is that the demographic is often more refined. You know that your colleges will be seeing the content you worked so hard on and you can also post to specialty groups.

Liz Reaves Walker of LinkedIn makes the following comment on the release:

“We know there are a lot of options for sharing content today, whether it’s on Twitter or Facebook. And, now with our new LinkedIn’s share button, we’d like to offer readers an effective way to share relevant professional content – news, thought pieces, white papers, or presentations on slideshare – with their business network on LinkedIn.”

“As a professional, we know the importance of staying up-to-speed on industry trends and business news and now we have made it easier for you to share that news and research with your team, clients, and peers from your favorite business news sites. Or, use LinkedIn share to get a conversation started with clients and colleagues you haven’t reached out to in a while.”

The new share button allows you to post to groups, your profile or send articles to individuals, so what are you waiting for?! Get sharing!
