How to Link Google Analytics to Webmaster Tools

Webmaster Tools is now allowing users the option to interconnect with their Google Analytics account. The benefit of this is that it gives webmasters easy access into Google Analytics data which can be used to make decisions for search engine optimization.

According to Google, by linking the two accounts you will be able to “View your Google Analytics Referring Pages report directly from the links to your site page in Webmaster Tools” and “access the Google Analytics Dashboard directly from the Analytics link in the top left bar when you’re on a site-related page.”

While these benefits seem fairly unimpressive, at least they will save you time. If you would like to link Webmaster Tools to your Google Analytics account, follow these simple steps.

1. On the Webmaster Tools home page, click Manage next to the site you want, then click Google Analytics profile.

2. Select the profile you want to associate with the site, then click Save.

Google mentions that if your website has multiple owners each person will need to connect the accounts individually.
