Google Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) Launches

Google AMP, Accelerated Mobile Pages, is officially launching this Wednesday the 24th. With it will come faster-loading mobile websites. We would know, as we rolled this out weeks ago on our site and several of our clients’ sites. It took some testing to get it right, but after working the bugs out, we are pleased to offer Google AMP as part of our SEO services.

Although Google hasn’t officially confirmed this launch date, website Ad Age has received word from several sources that the 24th is the big day. Google has said AMP would launch sometime in late February, so this is as good a time as any.

Last week, Google launched an AMP Webmaster Help Forum to assist with the launch. Google’s John Mueller is answering some of the questions, so webmasters are already receiving help in getting their websites right and AMPed up.

You can give Accelerated Mobile Pages a try before the big launch by taking your mobile site for a demo test drive.
