Sergio brings a wealth of experience in business development, marketing and product management to SEO Inc. His knowledge and expertise in product management and marketing gives him the ability to properly scope and manage large SEO and Web Development projects for a variety of clients across multiple sectors. Prior to SEO Inc., Sergio served as a Senior Account Manager at Aligned Enterprises, building and managing accounts for their 1-800-Taxicab brand. As a National Account Manager, Sergio provided innovative marketing strategies coupled with high quality service to build successful client accounts in more than 20 states.
Sergio got his start in web development in High School working with friends and family, building static HTML/CSS websites with a hint of Flash! He quickly began his career in online marketing after college in local marketing and SEO, building campaigns for B2C clients ranging from retail & restaurant to professional services as well as B2B campaigns for clients in industries including Wholesale, Manufacturing, and Moving among others.
In entrepreneurial pursuits, Sergio built and managed Bonpastry, an online bakery, from concept creation to a profitable enterprise by using innovative marketing strategies targeting the Southern California area. In Startup land, Sergio has successfully raised seed money, launched a first-to-market iOS app with 30,000+ aggregate downloads in <1 year, and been chosen as a finalist to present @ TechCrunch San Diego Pitch Competition.
During his Senior year at UC Santa Barbara, while studying business and technology management, Sergio was a semi-finalist at the UCSB Technology Management Program New Venture Competition in 2010 for a local business platform. Prior to his college days, Sergio began managing lemonade stands and competing in chess tournaments in Southern California at the age of 9. His favorite piece is the bishop, although that changes with varying frequency.
While he's not busy delivering value and high quality service to clients, Sergio enjoys hiking, chess and music.
