Social media sites and search engines are also detecting various types of user information. The result of which, an Internet experience that is unique to you and you along. Everyone does it, especially the big sites like Google, Facebook, Twitter and Bing.  </p>

<p>While Google is still winning the battle for the overall U.S. online ad market, things look quite different when looking only at the U.S. display network. By 2012, <a href="http://www.emarketer.com/blog/index.php/quick-stat-growth-q1-aols-share-display-revenues-expected-fall-2011/">Facebook is expected</a> to own 23.8% of the U.S. display advertising network. While Google is only expected to own 16.7% and Yahoo! is projected to own 16.3%.</p>
<p>Facebook is climbing the ranks slowly in the total U.S. online ad marketing, but is dominating in the display arena.</p>

SEO Inc. is heading to ad:tech again, and boy are we excited!</strong> For those of you who don’t know what ad:tech is, according to ad:tech, “ad:tech is an interactive advertising and technology conference and exhibition. <p>SEO Inc. has been attending ad:tech for years. But this year we are especially excited for a number of reasons.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Is he CEO of SEO Inc., a race car driver, or both? The answer is clearly the later. Garry Grant, CEO of SEO Inc. is now not only a powerhouse in the SEO world; he is also a speeding bullet like driver on the track.</p>

<p>On Saturday, October 23, 2010, Garry Grant attended the final day of the Global Tuner Grand Prix, a 3 day timed racing event open to both professionals and armatures alike. Grant had performed well the previous days, finishing towards the top of the pack in most cases, but the final day he knew he needed to do more.<span id="more-1368"></span>Grant took off on the wet track, slick and soaked from the rain. His run was going well, until he uncharacteristically missed a gear rounding a turn. After quickly picking up the pieces, Grant knew he had to turn it on.</p>
<p>“I figured I needed something special to place,” said Grant. “The car was hugging the pavement nice, so I decided to push it all the way.”</p>
<p>In an effort to make up lost ground, Grant put the peddle to the metal. Skipping and sliding, Grant flew around the final turns, taking it all the way home across the finish line.</p>
<p>“I had no idea I won. But when a guy came up to me, congratulated me and asked to take my picture, I knew I must have done well. It was only later that I found out I won.”</p>

<p>I’d like to focus on the last two items on this list if that is OK…</p>
<p>So the gorgeous booth girl, or the very nice women dressed in a boxing type Halloween costume, was there to promote our special giveaway (and our <a title="search engine optimization" href="http://www.seoinc.com/search-engine-optimization/" target="_blank">search engine optimization</a>, <a title="social media marketing" href="http://www.seoinc.com/social-media-marketing/">social media marketing</a> and <a title="reputation management" href="http://www.seoinc.com/reputation-management/">reputation management</a> services of course). What was the giveaway you ask? How about hotel accommodations, and tickets to a boxing match in good old Las Vegas! For those of you who are boxing fans, the tickets are to the Juan Manuel Lopez vs. Rafael Marquez fight. The fight was actually recently postponed. You can read about that <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.usatoday.com/sports/boxing/2010-08-21-lopez-marquez-fight-postponed_N.htm">here</a>.</p>
<p>During the event we collected cards. Then, at 2:00pm sharp on Tuesday, August 17th, we announced the winner. The buzz around the giveaway was really something special. You could tell that everyone in the crowd was really hoping to win. We pulled the first card and the winner wasn’t there to claim the prize. We then pulled the second. No one there to win, again! But the third time was the charm!<br />

People literally ask me about it all the time. And they have every right to do so, because let&#8217;s face it, it is not an easy part of <a href="http://www.seoinc.com/search-engine-marketing-services/" target="_blank">search engine marketing</a>.</p>
<p>Today, Matt Cutts released a new blog on effective techniques for link building in search engine optimization and I must say I really like his approach.  To me, building links is all about creating something of value online. Whether you are writing inspiring articles, information rich blogs or creating useful applications, links will come to you, but you have to offer the online world something worthwhile. And that is really what his post is all about.</p>
<p><span id="more-315"></span></p>
<p>In addition to touching on the basic search engine optimization principal that “content is king,” Cutts also describes the use of social media, email newsletters and RSS feeds in link building. This is something that we at Search Engine Optimization Inc. have been preaching for a long time. Each of these outlets is a delivery method that should be utilized to get your content exposure. The more exposure you can get, the larger potential you will have to build links with each new piece of content.</p>
