SEO Inc To Teach Search Engine Optimization Class at UC San Diego
Participants Will Earn 2.5 College Credits for 3-Day Class

CARLSBAD, CA (May 29th, 2008) — SEO Inc., a Carlsbad, CA-based search engine marketing company with clients around the country, announced today that company executives will teach a three-day, 2.5-credit course on search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) at University of California San Diego  from 8:30 am-5 pm on August 19, 20 and 21.  The course – designed for webmasters, business owners and corporate marketers – is believed to be the first of its kind to offer college credit.

A simple yet effective way of making Flash websites SEO friendly

The Problem
Conventional wisdom has always been that using Flash to make a website is a huge SEO No-No, and here’s why: When a search engine crawler comes to a web page, its mission is to read the text and follow the links to the other pages on the site. If the only thing on the page is an embedded flash object; then there is nothing for the crawler to read and no where for it to go. Ouch!

Google Agrees to Pay $90M for Click Fraud

SAN FRANCISCO  —  Google Inc. has agreed to pay up to $90 million to settle a lawsuit alleging the online search engine leader overcharged thousands of advertisers who paid for bogus sales referrals generated through a ruse known as “click fraud.”

The proposed settlement, announced by the company Wednesday, would apply to all advertisers in Google’s network during the past four years. Any Web site showing improper charges dating back to 2002 will be eligible for an account credit that could be used toward future ads distributed by Google.

Microsoft Releases New Statement on Sunday and offers a New Yahoo Deal

Microsoft (MSFT) released a statement on Sunday that it has made an alternative offer to Yahoo (YHOO) that wouldn’t entail a full acquisition. In the unexpected move, Microsoft would be acting as something of a white knight, saving Yahoo from fighting a proxy battle with billionaire investor Carl Icahn.  Is this the plan? Or does Microsoft have something up their sleeve?
