New Real Estate Search Tool Developed

Minneapolis, Minnesota - April 6, 2007 - The national roll-out of a new search tool has been developed, to assist homebuyers in locating realtors, using multiple criteria. Agentopolis.com was developed for homebuyers, timed to the spring housing market, following a four-month introductory phase to real estate agents who have personalized information, invited client testimonials and added home listings.

Including 1.3 million U.S. realtors, the search tool bases its findings upon geography, industry experience and social factors, such as religious and sexual preferences. To date, 12,000 agents have enhanced their information on this user-generated content site. Agentopolis.com features a simple layout that allows users to find, compare and contact agents in any U.S. city in two clicks, with no strings attached.

Ken Horst, President of Agentopolis, Inc. explained, "When people type in 'real estate agent' or 'realtor' as search terms, the last thing they want is to give up their email addresses and phone numbers so the site can sell their information to local agents," according to "Typical realtor searches generate hundreds of sites that offer a relatively small subset of agents in any given city. These sites are hard to use, full of banner ads, and require invasive information from consumers who are merely looking for initial information."

Agentopolis.com helps homebuyers to find an agent based on the following search criteria: -- Geography by city and state; -- Transaction type by buying or selling agents; -- Specialties include first-time home buying, residential, commercial, new construction, relocations, luxury, and vacation and rental properties; -- Languages spoken include Spanish, Chinese, French, German, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Italian, Korean, Russian, Polish, and Arabic. -- Gender and sexual preferences, such as male, female, gay, lesbian; -- Religious affiliations include Christian, Jewish, Islamic, Buddhist, Hinduism, Unitarian Universalist, Wiccan/Pagan/Druid.

Other selection factors include agent credentials and real estate agent rankings by number of client testimonials. Realtors' contact information is clearly displayed so consumers can simply call or email an agent with questions, which also allows agents to qualify prospective clients.

Mr. Horst, a mortgage banker who has been studying real estate web sites for five years, continued, "We believe that Agentopolis.com users will discover the 'The Long Tail' of real estate agents, a term based on the book by Wired magazine editor Chris Anderson. The 'long tail' concept is evidenced in our demand-side search engine, which allows consumers to drill deep down into realtor data and find the most unique agent who is the exact fit to the homebuyer's needs. Agentopolis.com levels the playing field for real estate agents by making every unique agent as equally available as the next and thereby creating their own market niche."

Agentopolis, Inc. is a web-service firm based in the Minneapolis suburb of Wayzata. The company buys top positions for key real estate agent terms from Google, Yahoo and MSN to ensure high traffic levels, in addition to applying search engine optimization techniques. Agentopolis, Inc. reports more than 20,000 visitors and 200,000 page views in the month of February 2007.
