ClickZ Network, Search Engine Watch Partner, Hires New Editor

New York, New York - December 19, 2006 - Incisive Media's ClickZ Network, a partner site of Search Engine Watch, has named Rebecca Lieb, as its new Editor-in-Chief. Business information provider, Incisive Media, revealed the new appointment, at the recent Search Engine Strategies conference (SES) in Chicago.

A respected commentator in the interactive marketing space and a sought-after speaker at leading industry events and conferences worldwide, including ad:tech, Search Engine Strategies, the CMO Council Summits, as well as events hosted by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Canadian Competition Bureau, Ms. Lieb has been with ClickZ since January, 2001. As part of her new role, Rebecca assumes additional responsibility for shaping the future editorial direction of Search Engine Watch, following Danny Sullivan's departure from the site at the end of November. A sister site to ClickZ, Search Engine Watch is already a part of The ClickZ Network.

Danny Sullivan Editor-in-Chief of SearchEngineLand.com remarked, ''Rebecca is an outstanding journalist and editor who has taken ClickZ to new heights. She has always understood the important and unique role of search in the interactive marketing space. Her promotion is well deserved, and I look forward to seeing her guide Search Engine Watch into its next generation.''

Ms. Lieb has held executive marketing and communications positions at strategic e-services consultancies, including Siegel and Gale. She worked in the same capacity for global entertainment and media companies including Universal Television and Networks Group (formerly USA Networks International) and Bertelsmann's German network, RTL Television. As a journalist, Ms. Lieb has written on media for numerous publications, including The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and spent five years as Variety's Berlin-based German/Eastern European bureau chief. She is also a member of the graduate faculty at New York University's Center for Publishing, where she also serves on the Electronic Publishing Advisory Group.

Rory Brown, Managing Director of Incisive Interactive Marketing added, ''We are extremely fortunate to be able to turn to someone with Rebecca's depth of experience and contacts within the interactive marketing space. While search is one of the main drivers of online advertising spend, the industry as a whole is rapidly maturing. Search is increasingly integrated with broader marketing disciplines. Developing Search Engine Watch in tandem with other channels in The ClickZ Network makes sense for our readers, and Rebecca is the ideal person to oversee this evolution.''

Elisabeth Osmeloski, Managing Editor at Search Engine Watch offered, ''I know Rebecca from the SES conference circuit and look forward to working closely with her on this exciting next chapter. While there's a great deal to do over the coming months, we share many similar ideas and a real passion for the job at hand. Our first task will be to recruit a new staff of writers and bloggers, and fill the vacancy left by Chris Sherman when he moves on at the end of the year, but we also want to hear from the search marketing community with their thoughts, ideas or suggestions for new columnists. We welcome ideas sent to newera@searchenginewatch.com.''

Ms. Lieb commented, ''I'm delighted and hugely excited by this expansion of my role at Incisive Media. In 2007, the ClickZ Network and Search Engine Watch sites each celebrate their tenth anniversaries. As we move into our second decade of publishing, the search and interactive marketing sectors are in exceptionally robust health. I very much look forward to working with my existing team and new colleagues at Search Engine Watch to build on the heritage of these major brands.''
